I'm delighted to announce that Martry Mill, along with Gerard Meade are joining their experience and knowledge to create a unique tour for visitors to Ireland.
Beginning this April, we will be welcoming tours to Martry Mill for a new unique, fun and informative tour of the mill along with a cookery demonstration and food tasting.
Food is intrinsically intertwined with a country's culture and we're really excited to showcase Ireland's culinary culture and history through these world-renowned dishes and show how to make them from scratch.
On cookery demonstration and tasting, will include the following traditional dishes:
- Eel on brown bread
- Irish stew
- Bacon and cabbage
- Irish coffee
As well as tasting the eel, stew and bacon and cabbage, visitors will be taught how to make (and drink!) their own Irish coffee which using a local whiskey, Slane Castle Whiskey.
